A Quick Walk Around Ohio State

Reflected Columns - Knowlton Hall, The Ohio State University - Fuji X-E1 with Fujinon XF 14mm f/2.8

I stopped by the Ohio State campus on the way home from work today and took about a 45 minute walk down to the Horseshoe, and back, and took some shots with the Fuji 14mm f/2.8.  What an incredible lens this is.  Extremely sharp, well built…a joy to shoot with.  Stay tuned for a bunch …

Before Dawn, After Dusk

City at Night, Columbus, OH - Fujifilm X-E1 with Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 (Click to Enlarge)

Took a little bit of time before and during a break in a long work day to take some shots in the pre-dawn light, and the early night today, involving my city’s lovely skyline.  As you can tell from the images below, the wind was quite a bit calmer this morning.  Both of the shots …

Spilled Sky

Spilled Sky - Fujifilm X-E1 with Fujinon 18-55mm f/2.8-4 OIS

Took a quick walk out and about for a few pics.   Out near the river, this lovely mud puddle was in the perfect position to reflect the Ohio Supreme Court…I thought it looked like the sky was spilling out on to the concrete.

15 Minute Street Shooting

I had a meeting downtown just after lunch today, so I shortened my eating time by about 15 minutes to allow that time on my lunch break for shooting.  I parked where my meeting was and then walked around just in the 2-3 block area right around for a little while, grabbing only my Fuji …

Review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3

After a quite long two-year wait, Panasonic has updated their flagship Micro 4/3 camera, and they’ve upgraded almost every single item on the camera. This fall, the new DMC-GH3 was announced and cameras first started becoming available a few months ago. Panasonic is positioning the GH3 as the ultimate top end Micro 4/3 body, with …
