It is really a fun way to explore a place that I may have been to many times before.<\/p>\n<p>I often go out for 10-15 minute little excursions around Columbus, just to snap a few photos.\u00a0 Yesterday, I stopped off along the Scioto Mile, a new park along the Scioto River here in downtown Columbus.\u00a0 They&#8217;ve got a great promenade in front of the Supreme court, a nice stage further south, and a little play fountain park, which is great fun for kids in the summer.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_396\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-396\" style=\"width: 198px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/admiringlight.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/circle_lines2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-396\" title=\"circle_lines2\" src=\"http:\/\/admiringlight.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/circle_lines2-198x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/admiringlight.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/circle_lines2-198x300.jpg 198w, https:\/\/admiringlight.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/circle_lines2.jpg 517w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 198px) 100vw, 198px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-396\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Scioto Mile Fountain - Panasonic GX1 with Olympus 12mm f\/2<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>They&#8217;ve got these huge steel tubes, making loops and curves.\u00a0 In the summer when the fountains are on, they rain down water all over the people playing below.\u00a0 Of course, it being February, the fountains are off and there are just lonely stainless steel structures, stretching 20 feet in the air.\u00a0 As I was just about to get back into the car after taking a few shots, I decided to look for patterns and shapes in the tubes, and the results can be seen here.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure I will explore these fountains further in the future, and will of course try new perspectives and try and find unique ways to capture the scene.\u00a0 It&#8217;s just one of the things I enjoy about being a photographer.\u00a0 It&#8217;s fun, easy and quick&#8230;and very satisfying when successful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the things that I love about photography is finding beauty in line and form, especially in finding a view or perspective in objects that most people will pass by.\u00a0 I especially love this when shooting architecture or travel photography.
