This is just a heads up on what’s going on with the site at the moment. Over the next few days to a week, you’ll likely see some visual changes to the site. Admiring Light has basically looked the same since I launched the site in 2012, and frankly, I think it’s gotten a bit stale. Some changes have occurred, and I’m still figuring out whether I want to keep the same general look you see now, with some further tweaking to iron out some of the bugs and some of the color scheme (which I’m not happy with at the moment), or whether I do a full change to something lighter and cleaner. Right now, I’m leaning towards the latter, to give the site a fresh coat of paint.
In any case, you may see some changes coming off and on throughout the next, some big, some small. some may break things in old articles that I don’t recognize. There are 338 articles in the site, and I can’t go back and check every page of every one for compatibility, so I’ll be doing some spot checking of articles past and present, but if you see something that is broken, or looks very off, just leave a comment and I’ll take a look.
Edit: The site has moved to its new design as of 12/16/18. Please leave feedback for things you find broken, or if you just have any thoughts on the redesign. Thanks!
On the content side, I’m trying to finish up my review of the Canon EOS R, which I’ve been working on for the past few weeks. I’ll also have a review of the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L coming soon, before diving into the backlog of gear I’ve yet to try.
Thanks for visiting,
Jordan
