Jordan, these are some of the best reviews on the internet, thorough and straight forward.

Do you have any plans to review the Sony 24-70 f/4 FE lens? Some users love it, some say it’s soft. I’d love to get your take on it.

It’s definitely on my list. With all the recent releases, I have a bit of a backlog, but my next review will be the Olympus E-M10 II, followed likely by the GX8, Loxia 21, and then possibly the 24-70. I also will try to get a copy of the Fuji XPro 2 as soon as I can.

Hi Jordan. Any chance you will do a comparison review of bothe the fuji 18mm f2 and the fuji 18-55mm lenses? I noticed you have yet to review any of these two lenses. Thanks.

I really should review the 18-55…I’ve owned it for around 2 years. The 18 is the only XF lens I haven’t shot with yet…if there is a lull in new equipment to review I may snag a copy to review, but it likely won’t be soon.

Why is the Fujinon 18mm f2 excluded in the reviews?

    Hi Jordan,

I have turned my back to Sony (APS-C and FF) and returned to Olympus and have never been happier.

Would be nice to see you review the lastest cameras/lenses made by Olympus today – today I use E-M5III and 12-100 F4 Pro and 12-45 F4 Pro.
I find it remarkable what they have done regarding AF, new compact bodies and zooms among other things.

    Regard
    Kjell (Sweden)

I’d like to be able to review a lot more m4/3 gear, but the problem is simply my time and resources. As I don’t shoot m4/3 for personal work any more, I have whittled it down to a pretty barebones kit (E-M10 II, which the eye sensor broke in, so I have to manually switch between the EVF and rear screen), with a handful of tiny lenses (14/2.8, 12-32 pancake zoom, Oly 40-150, Panasonic 25/1.7). It doesn’t really seem right to review the high end bodies with the iffy glass, and it doesn’t really seem right to review high end glass with 4 year old bodies…but unfortunately, it doesn’t make financial sense to purchase anything new for m4/3, especially since I feel the value proposition of m4/3 has gotten worse and worse.

Olympus has kept old technology bodies in service far longer than I would expect, and is still charging rather absurd prices for them. I wouldn’t mind owning a Pen F, but it’s still $1,000 to get one new, and it’s four years old, and woefully behind competing small bodies with EVFs like the Sony a6400. I just can’t justify the cost for a system I barely use any more. I could rent, but that also becomes a situation where the cost and time would never make a lot of sense…..I’d end up operating at a significant loss.

Unfortunately, due to increasing demands at work, I’m left with reviewing things that personally interest me when I have time, which alas has been pretty limited of late.

I am glad you are enjoying your switch back to Olympus. They certainly make some great gear.
