Valentine’s Rose

Well, in the US, yesterday was Valentine’s Day.  If you have a significant other, you likely have access to some nice flowers.  So dig out your macro lenses (or any lens that can focus somewhat closely) and go to town.  I tried several different compositions on the roses I bought for my wife, but this particular rose had such tightly intricate center petals that I knew this was the shot I wanted.

The petals look to have an almost fabric-like texture. Very cool shot.
