Waiting at the Platform

I took about 15 minutes today to finally get out and shoot just a little bit, since I have been working non-stop at home and work.  It’s been a while.  Anyway, there was a great blue heron just waiting along the river dock….and he made quite a striking subject (click to enlarge):

    Nice comp on both, look good in mono too.
    The Herons over here in England are a lot less tolerant of a camera concentrating on them (in my experience anyway :o( ), I get good shots from hides but never in open and urban areas.
