Photoshop CS6 Public Beta

Adobe has released the public beta for it’s newest version of Photoshop.  The new version features a revamped interface with a darker theme similar to Lightroom, and has introduced several new tools that should be quite interesting to photographers.  There are new tools to expand the arsenal of Content-Aware changes, adding Content Aware Move and Content Aware Patch.  Additional improvements have been made to the 3D handling for Photoshop Extended, and Adobe has incorporated a huge number of tools for video.

I’m downloading now, and will provide a report probably sometime in the next week or so, after I’ve had a chance to explore the new features.  Looks promising!  I don’t quite know if I’ll be upgrading this time around, as CS5 does most things I need it to, so a lot will depend for me on how useful these new tools are and if Adobe follows their reduced pricing on Lightroom 4 with a reduced pricing on Photoshop.

If you want to give Photoshop CS6 a test spin, head on over to Adobe and grab yourself a copy.
