The Freezing River

I went out this morning in the frigid air to get some nice sunrise photos on unisturbed recently fallen snow. The river is freezing over from the recent cold, and the portion that is still liquid on the surface produced beautiful cold mist rising off the water. I took some shots from down near the river’s edge, but this shot, taken from a pedestrian bridge over the river, was my favorite. I just enjoyed the perspective with the leading line of the river, the sun backlighting the rising mist and the city in the distance. Taken with the Fuji X-E2 and XF 23mm f/1.4 at f/8.
