For the first time in a long time, I really got a chance to go out and shoot for a bit. I went downtown after work and got some shots of the sunset and the city at night. I’m very much a proponent of the ‘gear doesn’t make the shot’ crowd, but on evenings like this, new technologies in gear certainly make things more fun and easier to get. I didn’t have my tripod with me, so longer exposure night shots wouldn’t have been possible, but with image stabilization and pretty darn good higher ISO capabilities made it so I could shoot the whole evening handheld. It was a bit chilly this evening, but I’m definitely glad I took the time to go shoot!
