Autumn in West Virginia

Posted on October 25, 2022October 25, 2022 by Jordan Steele

Well, it’s been a long time since my last post, and that’s mostly because I’ve been pretty swamped at my day job. I’ve had a fairly small amount of time to shoot in the past two months, and even less time to write. I do have a few more articles in the pipeline that are partially done, so expect those sometime in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, I finally got a chance to get away and shoot for a few days. I typically take a few days off of work each fall to photograph, and this time I went outside of Ohio, as I feel I’ve photographed this state to death over the past 15 years. I went over into West Virginia, and a bit into Virginia as well, for my ‘fall photo tour’ as I like to call it. Unfortunately, this week was the first weekend I really had available, and it was about a week or two past peak fall foliage in West Virginia, though enough color held on to certainly make for some nice photos. I also took advantage of my recently acquired DJI Air 2S, which has opened up a new window to the world for me. Drones are high enough quality now to certainly be a serious photographic tool. I’ll have a review of that coming soon.

In the meantime, here is a selection of photos from this past weekend. I was quite pleased with the images I was able to get. I hope you enjoy them as well!
