First Sign of Fall

Posted on September 12, 2013September 12, 2013 by Jordan Steele

While the leaves have not yet begun to turn in earnest yet, the occasional tree here and there is slowly changing color and dropping a few leaves.  Spotted this partially turned leaf that had fallen into a puddle, creating a beautiful splash of color.

This was taken with my Olympus OM-D E-M5 and the Voigtländer Nokton 42.5mm f/0.95 at f/0.95.  This lens is quite the performer in many instances (though not without its flaws), and I love the rendering done here.  Image processing was done entirely in Lightroom 5.2 RC, using the VSCO Film 04 pack, specifically the Fuji Velvia 100 simulation.

Thanks for the tip re Fuji Velvia 100 film simulation for editing autumn colours.
I have this feature in Nik Efex Pro 3 which came free with my Corel PSP X5 software.
A one click edit then in Nik Efex then refine in LR5 produces some really good results.
